Finished! Haqqislam Force

With the contents of Red Veil, a box of Naffatun, Hassassin Fiday, and the pre order mini from HSN3, I had my starting force set. They were painted up quickly over three sessions leading up to a friendly tournament over the weekend. Nothing too show stopping about them but having them completed as a whole leaves me with a sense of satisfaction. The Al'fasid could use a little more attention. My thoughts being I'd save him for last and have fun, but in reality, he was painted during my most tired point in the process. But it's a start and now I can add tot he force here and there without such a large effort.

Haqqislam WIP Part 2

Further down the sandy road we go! I spent three days on this army so I'm going to milk it a little and double post about the progress ;) Three days but many hours, I didn't track my time exactly but there were a couple 10 hour sessions. In this update the bascoating is complete and I had begun separating out models that shared the same needs, such as flesh tones or yellow turbans.

I saved the big boy Al'fassid for last like some kind of reward. My reward for painting was more painting. But it was a fun project and I'm glad to have some painted figures for gaming. In the future I'll be able to add a couple troops here and there without much time being taken.

With the army completed on a Friday night, the next step was to test them out in a three round tournament. Stay tuned!

Haqqislam WIP!

A while back, following the release of Operation Red Veil, I assembled and primed my budding Haqqislam force. Fast forward to Monday this week and I have 5 days to paint my army for another casual gig at my friend Rodge's place. Here's where it began earlier this week. Can I finish in time? I know the answer to that but you'll have to stay tuned to find out ;)
