Shadow War faction, Inquisition Step One!

Kind of a funny mice for me but I have a group of friends starting to play this and at the enthusiasm from my loved one spurred me on. The Inquisitor was also a gift, so my house was locked in. I've also been appreciating all the conversion work that comes with the Blanchitsu stylings lately. I wanted to keep it relatively simple so I figure picking up a box of Scions would be a good start. A pair of converted stormcast for my cursaders and now I'm cooking, spice them with some flagellant bits and head swaps, boom! On with the pictures!

I even found the space to fit a beastmen in, cheers to my second edition veterans who still remember the good bad times :) 

Finished! Typhus, Herald of the Plague God

This project was started during a private tutoring session. Super fun to work on after throwing away the derpy smoke that came with the sculpt (you know what I'm talking about). I'd also like to remind my regular readers I've moved my operations over to Facebook and mainly this blog will function as a gallery of completed work for the time being.

Finished! Eldar Wraithknight Death Jester Style

A really fun commission to work on. With the Death Jester theme in mind I wanted to accent more the wraithbone part of Eldar culture opposed to the checkers and other mechanical lines. 

This post also marks a transition for me. I've started a Facebook page for my art. This blog will still remain but will function as a gallery of completed works for the most part. Facebook seems like an easier way to interact with people who visit this page. I don't get notifications from blogspot when someone comments for example. So check it out and give it a like if you swing that way.

Finished! Lord of Contagion

Man I love the new Death Guard models. Every time I paint some Nurgle goodness I'm entertaining the idea of an army. This time around was no exception, coupled with the onset of a new edition I was thinking about it double. But who has the time? I do, but it comes at a price so for now I'll have to just leave my Nurgle army at that, an idea. Maybe some day, for now though I've had my fun with the Lord of Contagion. I'll place him up on Ebay and see what happens. If he sells, good, if not, then I get to hang out with my budding army a little longer.

I haven't posted on coolminiornot in a while due to them changing the parameters related to the image quality but after some growing pains, I've been able to adjust. So take a gander at my Gallery there and rock the vote. Or if you'd like to own him yourself, bidding starts Here

WIP: Lord of Contagion

Amidst the commissions sometimes I have to do a out of sync painting to keep the mojo flowing. Inspired by the Nurgle models painted during the class I held in Minneapolis and still having some figures left, I started slapping some paint around. This won't be a competition piece and isn't for anyone in particular, just for the fun of it :) and then most likely Ebay.

WIP Wraithknight Part Two

You're not seeing it wrong, this is a different Wraithknight from last time..I decided to switch gears quick and start a project I could finish before my vacation. I'll be visiting California this weekend for a hefty 10 days. I might be moving there so I have some research to do. So here is the result of that gear switching, a craftoworld Mymera Wraithknight!

At this point I'm on to the brushwork. I'm trying to finish this by tomorrow night so it might be a photo finish. Time will tell!

WIP: Eldar Combat Patrol

First step is getting that fine fine turquoise to come out juuuust riiiight.

Something for my local buddy Kevin as there has been some interest in combat patrol. Can I paint these before GW changes that? Satay tuned and find out!

WIP Lamentors Captain

Some people might remember a while back when I auctioned off a model in order to donate the proceeds to local person in need. It went well, I think I could get more likes on facebook for changing my profile picture but..that's another topic. So, the cool dude who bought that model also commissioned me to paint a custom piece :) He's coming along and as usual I like to show some in progress shots. I've learned a lot from seeing models in the bare state on other blogs so I try to emulate that on my own. Enjoy!
