Finished! Infinity Nomads Lizard Pilot

Things have really been ramping up in my group for Infinity lately. Brother John and I have begun assembling a city's worth of terrain, thanks to Mantic games, and my N3 rulebook just showed up today :) I already have a small group of Nomads I painted up from my days living in Utah. More on all that later, for now, I finished another addition to my growing force. The Nomads Lizard pilot from corvus bellis bootleg range for Infinity. I figure she will make a good stand in for any specialists I want to play test. She was painted up when I had an hour here and there while waiting for putty to dry on Megamulg. So some areas I took time and others I didn't, all in the name of happy painting, enjoy!

MEGAMULG in Progress

Mega, Mega, Megamulg! I was asked to build a version of Mulg the ancient in epic proportions. Which was additionally great as I've had an itch to do some sculpting lately, Woo! I'll start at the end, here he is what he became, in all his epic glory. Screaming for paint!

Here is the process he went through over the last 4 days :)

 Shipping.

Distribution.

Surgery!

The loincloth was instant molded from the original pair of Mulg legs.

It's all about layers..and patience. I'm too eager when sculpting and found that one of the hardest parts is putting the piece down while the putty sets.

While waiting for the putty to set I decided to start a small personal project. After a few afternoons she was done :) More on that next time.

Finished! D&D Minis

The finished lot of assorted Dungeons and Dragons Scrum. Painted for tabletop use by my buddy in Utah, John, the Holy Diver (insert guitar shredding). Gnolls, Bugbears, Hobgoblins, Lizardmen, and poisonous Banana Snakes! Many firsts in here, never painted a Gnoll before :)

Next up I'm very excited to finally reveal the project known as Megamulg :)
So stay tuned!

Finished! Grey Knight Paladin

Almost forgot to post this amidst the hectic rate of commissions that have been coming in :) This model was painted for use in custom games of Space Hulk, hence the square base. It was a lot of fun to do a whole mini in NMM, even if I went way over time on it. What was most important is that I had fun going overboard and surprising the client. I paint for the people!

WIP D&D Minis

Most of this week's miniature painting has been focused on this motley crew. Some minis intended for Dungeons and Dragons adventures for my buddy, Holy Diver, out in Utah.

Budbears, Gnolls, Hobgoblins, Lizard men, and of course, Snakes! Big yellow banana snakes!

More to come on this lot after they've received their closeup. Stay tuned!

WIP Grey Knight for Space Hulk

The next project in line is a single Grey Knight, "Draigo", for use in custom Space Hulk games. As a Space Hulk lover I agree with this decision :) My Client sent the mini and, in the midst of all the round bases in fantasy, I scratchbuilt a square base for this 40K mini ha.

Primed and ready!

I wanted to get more of a blue steel look on this miniature, opposed to more gray toned NMM I've done in the past. I snapped this picture to capture the colors needed.

And here he is after blocking in the details :)

Stay Tuned!

Finished! Dark Angels Interrogator Chaplain

There's something I'll always love about Chaplains, they perfectly embody the grim and dark side of the 40K universe. Reminding us that sometimes even the good guys can wear skulls on their faces.

Finshed! Horde of Zombies!

Recently, with winter approaching, I decided to pick up Zombicide. The core box comes with 80 some minis(!) and everyone knows, painted is better. This is not meant to be the prettiest paintjob on the block but I did want to add a little life to my game, pun intended! So with proper tools available and a reasonable standard in mind I toned and sprayed many minis.

Here are the first 49..

So how did I do it? I'm happy to say the process has been recorded and will be on Youtube soon so stay tuned for that and more :)

Dark Angel HQ's WIP

Preppin' and steppin' with an Interrogator Chaplain and a converted Ezekiel! Two very cool minis to serve the empereor's finest :) These babies also mark a milestone as they're the first project to be born and finished on my new table (single tear)..Nostalgia aside, on with the pictures.

Here they are after some masking and airbrushing. Not the cleanest job on Ezekiel but still a step in the right direction.

And then the fun part, laying down that sweet sweet acrylic love :)

Finished! Blood Secrator of Khorne!

The second half of a recent commission :) Very fun to paint, keep the badguys coming! I have to get to some other commissions but I'm happy to say I'll be painting a bloodthirster for the same client in the near future. Blood for the Blood God!

He's also up on Coolminiornot if that tickles your fancy.
