The Michael Jordan of super jump killshots himself, Tariq Mansuri. Although I play Haqqislam myself, this was a commission aimed at higher, more heroic level and the client chose the color scheme. Which I'm happy for the challenge after it said and done. The main difference in my choice and his was the exclusion of green on the uniform.

And just in time for Adepticon! One more addition to the Green Bastards (Parts Unknown).

Next stop, Adepticon and the Crystal Brush. I plan on chilling to the max and painting with all the homies, see you there!

WIP Custom Asawira

Just a few days until Adepticon :) I have my Crystal Brush entries squared away and the only bit of painting left is a custom Asawira model for my Haqqislam force. The current versiont is pretty outdated and I don't see an new sculpt in the near future so I decided to build my own. Which gave me chance to pick a heavy infantry from another faction as my basis. I went straight for the Morats and picked a suryat with HMG. The rest was done with putty, plasic rod, and a naffatun Head.

I've stuck to a tabletop level as my standard for the Green Bastards (parts unkown) but for this piece, as he's a bit of hammer And anvil, I decided to go a little further.

I'll finish him off today and squeeze out one more post before Adepticon. Then the shenanigans can begin!

Finished! Ghazzi Muttawi'ah

It's a good thing this blog is done through the written word and not spoken because I'm sure I'm not pronouncing that work right ha. But the Haqqislam force grows no matter the pronunciation! This time I've added a pair of Ghazzi Muttawi'ah (Mutts for short) to the roster.

I still have to finish four more models to complete this list but I'll have enough time between now and January 20th. I also have a massive project that will be taking most of my time in January but more on that later. I'll be resuming a faster pace to this blog in the future, just been enyjoing a little time to myself during the holiday season.

WIP Haqqislam Expansion

Leading up to the holiday I've decided to take a break from painting and do some painting. But this time for myself. After playing a few games with my new Haqqislam army I've made some changes to the roster. I'd also like to attend Waaaghpaca this January and field a fully painted list. So the main objective of this week, besides sculpting, is to paint a small expansion..I'm still waiting on the final couple of models to show up so it's just the four for now.

I'm not a fan of the standard smart missle bearing "chicken bot" in the Haqq range so I picked up a box of Kameel remotes and added a missle pod from a different game. Not sure where I picked that up.

Finished! Haqqislam Hasassin Barid

While the putty was drying, this guy was painted up during last weekends paint jam. Another addition to the Haqqislam force! The Hassassin Barid Hacker with AD combat jump. Good but not really an exemplary set of skills in most factions but coupled with his high WIP of 14, smart missles get a lot more doable.
