Finished! Horgle, the Anvil

This one was a lot of fun, the perfect set up for some widespread OSL. A great sculpt as well, some folks balk at some of Privater Press's sculpts but the troll range is pretty solid.

Finished! Trollbloods Support

A couple couples of Trollblood support units. Painted to tabletop quality, don't judge me.

Finished! Madrak Ironhide, Great Chieftan

Continuing to roll out some finished pieces from this last month. This time it's Madrkak, Great Chieftan. This was painted to a nicer tabletop standard. Nothing too crazy but also a little extra attention because he's the leader after all.

Release the Hordes!

A horde of models for the game of Hordes! A couple warlocks for the Legion of Everblight and some casters as well as support models for the Trollbloods. These will be painted to either exhibition or heroic quality which is a nice release after the larger tabletop job I finished earlier this week.

First up in this commission, the Legion of Everblight. It also happens to be there's a new season of Trailer Park Boys up on Netflix, time is on my side my friends.

I started this post with a colorful picture to get your attention. Now behold, the not so inspiring but essential documentation of the first few steps.

What have I been listening to? A lot of funeral doom which I'll post links to as I go. First though, enjoy the sound of HELL

Finished! Ragnar Skyplitter

Back from outer space! Well, further away cities. This past weekend I went to Chicago for some private coaching with my buddy Mark, I also did some airbrush tutoring up in Wausau, more on those excursions soon. For now I still have more Trollbloods to show off. This time, the new caster Ragnar Skysplitter is taking the stage.

A weekend out of town has been very refreshing. I've had a lot of things to sort out for my future painting career and it was nice to get some time away. There are a lot of opportunities coming my way and the only question is, how busy do I want to be?

Also, what have I been listening to? Coupled with one of my best friends moving soon, someone I've made a lot of "music" with, it's been a lot of harsh music. The kind my other friends are getting too soft to listen to. So, in that vein one of the few bands doing it right lately I present the musical sounds of G.O.D.

Finished! Diretroll Blitzer

He's big, he's burly, he's the blitzer! Bringing some meat for the potatoes of troll army. I've always liked this troop concept, hopefully he gets a little more use in the new edition.

Finished! Trollbloods Stormtroll

Rolling past the finish line first is the Stormtroll. I'll spare the electricity puns running through my head right now and get on with the pictures.

Finished! Trollbloods Army

Finally, the Kriel of Thao is completed. I'll show more up close and individual shots in the future. It's a massive amount of photos to level off, today I only had time for the group shots.

For The Kriel! Chapter 5!

This will be the final lap before this whole project is finally done! Just onnnee more final WIP update of all that is Trolly.

First, in need of some grass, the Sromtroll.

And the final boss, the Diretroll Blitzer.

Progress has been a little slowed but it's all for the good. I have somewhat of an apprentice, which has been the case before so we'll see if it pans out. But I am willing to teach those who want to learn. As a first project I got her started on some simple and effective zombies. 62 of them.

Here they are still in need of that final black ring around the base and right after a shower in the gore box.

Finished! Captain Gunnbjorn

I've always liked this model but never took the plunge when I was collecting Trollbloods. It's a really cool sculpt and the posing is perfect. So it was a little added bonus when I was commissioned to paint him. I like his backstory and wanted to capture a little of that in the paint. If you don't know, in short, his story is that of a mercenary and then working for the human army of Cygnar. He came full circle in the times of war and now fights for his kin and adds his valuable knowledge and tactics  gained in the military to aid in the fight. To reflect this, obviously his uniform for one thing, but I also use a different formual on the metallic parts. More of a polished gunmetal that the rusty plate worn by his comrades.
