Just when I thought I was done with tabletop quality my local buddy asked I could paint up a quick squad of Dire Avengers so he can get his shadow wars on. I was happy to oblige and was able to paint them up alongside other projects in a couple afternoons.

WIP All the Kings Men Part 2
Following Adepticon I've taken a serious inventory of commissions, which there are many of. Not the most ground breaking paintjobs but it can be fun to paint a group of tabletop models. At this point I'm closing the gate on tabletop commissions, I still have some to finish but am no longer accepting more. So I'm enjoying this job for the fact that it's one of the last.
Also, I'm rewarding myself upon completion with more painting. There are a few personal projects lingering in the back that need some attention :)

Finished! Butchers Guild
Straight from the slaughterhouse and into your local sports arena.
This was a fun group of models to paint up. They are all to the same scheme but pack a lot of differences and roles on the field I suppose. Never played the game but I know you can have a mascot for your team and it can be a pig in bondage.
Or you can hire a gigantic bald man with the grace of a figure skater.

Haqqislam WIP Part 2
Further down the sandy road we go! I spent three days on this army so I'm going to milk it a little and double post about the progress ;) Three days but many hours, I didn't track my time exactly but there were a couple 10 hour sessions. In this update the bascoating is complete and I had begun separating out models that shared the same needs, such as flesh tones or yellow turbans.
I saved the big boy Al'fassid for last like some kind of reward. My reward for painting was more painting. But it was a fun project and I'm glad to have some painted figures for gaming. In the future I'll be able to add a couple troops here and there without much time being taken.
With the army completed on a Friday night, the next step was to test them out in a three round tournament. Stay tuned!
