Gamesday 2012 send off

Things have been kept secret lately and has consequently slowed down my blogging procedures. The secret in question is one of my 7 Golden Demon entries, it's also a present for my brother who is also a follower of this blog. I snapped a quick picture of my case before I sealed my entries away.

So just how excited for Gamesday are you? I'm being redundant, I can't hear you. I will tell you how I excited I am though. I was so excited I foolheartedly thought I could finish and entry for the Lord of the Rings category in one day. Here's a crappy photo I took before I applied any paint.

Viola! Another hastily shot picture of the finished product :) Who's the fool now!?..I guess time will tell.

For those of you who are going, I'll see you there! :D

Steady Grindin'

It started Monday night at Brother John's house.

I wanted to get a couple Ebay auctions up before I really get into my Golden Demon entry. I grabbed a previously painted Rune Priest and started an Emperor's Champion conversion.

Brother John was next to me scraping away on the latest plastic toys to tickle his fancy. The drug fueled masochists know as the Dark Eldar. Table saw in hand, jetbikes galore.

I finished the pelt I wanted to add to the Rune Priest and got a good start on the Emperor's Champion.

Today I once again set up in the basement due to the heat wave and put the finishing touches on the Emperor's Champion. I also hit the post office and snapped some pictures to prove my deeds.

Here are the results :)

Ebay linky:

..See above:

Now it's time to get a lick of paint on that final Golden Demon project. I can't show it because it's a gift so for now I'll have to keep it secret...

Finished! Deathwatch Unit

This was a recent commission, I finished it off about a week ago. I like the scheme. Painting a different Chapter on every shoulderpad really adds the knightly feel of Marines. It also breaks up the boredom of painting the same exact scheme 80 times or however many models you need to play in the new edition. I haven't caught up yet and I'm not sure I will..We'll see what the started box has to offer. I'll also stop this tangent and finally show the pictures.

First up the Captain. I was paid a bit more for this guy so he'd really shine, being a captain and all..

And the accompanying squad of death dealers. These were done to a tabletop level.

What you ridin' in?..A Rucking Rhino that's what.

Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf

I got up the urge to finally do something with that box of Thunderwolves I had sitting around. Painting up a Sturmwulf for baelor miniatures helped too. Boy I love cavalry models :)

He's off the wilds of Ebay:

Next time I'll have those Deathwatch Marines up, just couldn't resist showing this guy off the day I finished him.

One Sanguinor, 7 hours

I was able to paint this guy up in a day. A quicker job, about 6 to 7 hours. To add a real challenge it was 104 degrees that day. Somehow, Wisconsin managed to be the second warmest state in the U.S that day. Thanks to Kevin (http://myworld.ebay.com/teachermickeymouse/?_trksid=p4340.l2559) I was able to chill in his office most of the day.

Many projects are on the way :) Most are done and I'm trying to catch up on the blogging. For last nights activities I went to brother John's house and got started on a a Sturmwulf for Baelor miniatures (http://www.baelor.com/)

You may also notice I was building a Wolflord for Ebay..We'll see where that one goes. I also have a Logan Grimnar conversion on the table.

Next up I'll have some shiny Deathwatch Space Marines to show off.

Finished: Ogre Kingdoms Firebelly

First off, apologies for the break from blogging. I have an excuse but that's doesn't relate to miniatures and the hobby. Now is not the time to break from my mission statement :) So without any delay I'm going to get back into the swing of things. As an apology I'd like to share a finished piece to get things rolling.

Overall an enjoyable model to paint. The fire didn't quite show as well as it could have in the pictures but I guess that means you'll have to get to Gamesday in Chicago to see him ;) I have just one more entry to finish by the end of the month.

Rock the vote:

Thanks for your patience, I'll be getting back on that horse now please.
