Finished! Malifaux Claw and Fang Starter Kit

7 hours in the jungle tundra snakepit wasteland and I'm still standing. Here are the final shots of the seven hour Project from a couple weeks back. I'm sad to say the pictures are not my best but the project was handed off after I realized some of the angles were too high and the focus was off..at least it all happened one poor set of pictures at once..So it goes.

Thanks to this project I'll have another chance to get it right. After Brother John saw this group he handed his Arcanists starter over for the same treatment. bam.

Project log, Khorne Berzerkers detachment

Here is a collection of progressive pictures in a random order of last weeks project. 12 Berzerkers, 5 Red Butchers from forge world, and one slightly modified Kharn the Bertrayer. All painted to different levels of quality. A buffet of painting delights, o la.

This was the perfect sized project to keep me busy for most of the week and yet not be overwhelmingly large. I'll have the final pictures, in all their gory detail, up here soon.

Back to the Brush!

Warhound Titans of Chaos

After a little deliberation on how to take pictures of these two I decided to go with an outdoor theme. The sun was finally shining and the ruinous powers of chaos were if full bloom. I was sad to see them go after so much time with them. I spent a total of 46 hours on the two of them. This was definitely a monstrous undertaking but something I was looking forward to starting right after adepticon in early april. They also serve as a fond farewell to Dark Lens Studio. I'm going independent like I should have been all along. It's been a difficult ride since the end of last September when I set out for Utah to work with Blue Table Painting. But one I'll never forget. This post marks the end of those past missteps.

Don't compromise your happiness.

As a parting shot here's a little picture I like to call "shipping hell".

Malifaux Claw and Fang

A gorilla, a three headed sabretooth cat, a giant snake covered in spines, a jackalope and two Shamans. Malifaux, you've done it again. This was a really fun group of models to paint and out of the norm as well :)

Here they are all ready for some brush work.

Finished! Eldar Wraithknight

I've been wanting to paint one of these since the day they were released :) It felt good to get in every groove he had to offer but my batteries ran out 14 hours later..

He's also up on Coolminiornot if that tickles your fancy.

Onwards and upwards!

Finished! Dark Angels Librarian

This guy got a little preview yesterday and now here he is painted up and ready for a night on the town. The tabletown. Sometimes it's fun to do a quicker job to see how your speed is improving. Five hours later, here is the result, I did cheat a little and use a base I had sitting around from a previous project.

From the Base to the top

I'm starting to really enjoy it when I get commissioned to do one of the newest 40K super heavies and the big 'ol base that goes with it. I got a little lost in this one :) I'll keep it a secret as to what I'm mounting on this base. Hope it tickles your fancy.

Here's my pallet in beginning stages of the accompanying models paint job.

And this is a lineup of the randoms making their was along the sides of my painting table. More on each of them in their own time.
