Back from the Mountain

I'm back from my Utah excursion and can't wait to return to that beautiful place. I was visiting and teaching some classes at the famous Blue Table Studio. Some of the finest people anyone could meet. The kinship of nerds isn't always found but there the feeling was strong. I'll be relocating in the next few months and working with them. Doing what I love, painting miniatures. It has been a long road, about 4 years of road, but it brought me there. To everyone at Blue Table, I wuv you. My heart is heavy as I have to say goodbye to my loved ones and slim down my possessions, when you're chasing your dreams, travel light.

Sentiments aside, here's what everyone wants. Pictures!

Private, do not look

It's been Privateer Press allllll week :) Pun intended. Here's a little glimpse of what's in the pipe. Doom doom doomreavers. At this point they're almost finished and I'll be moving on to a Warhog, great model.

I also have my bony hands on a gargantuan :) Thanks Kevin. After painting the Great Unclean One I'm really fired up to do another large model. I'm a flirt though so I'm only going to show you the base.

Next week this blog will most likely fall silent. I'm taking a trip to meet the crew at Blue Table Painting and well, do some painting. I'll be tapping the rockies and loving life. You should too.

Finished! Eldar Farseer

I'm already wanting to paint another one of these. I really enjoyed all the..Kimono, (yeah why not) and room for freehand. I suppose he could also be a Spititseer but who's splitting hairs?

He's off the wilds of Ebay. Collect your prizes there :) Next on the Agenda I'll be finishing off some Battledragons and showing a little more love to Lord Putro so stay tuned.

Mood of the day

Or yesterday..Last night among the lingering fumes of glue and miniature warfare (you know the smell) I sat down to paint with my chums. Another hobby night at Fire For Effect games. My mission was to jazz up Lord Putro :) Well, also to drop off quick paintjob for my buddy Paul. Thanks for your patience Paul.

Progress was made and company was enjoyed. It's been a while since I had the time to sit and paint at a store, a nice change of pace. Being in a store does things to you though, it depletes your income. I couldn't resist picking up the new plastic Farseer from GW. Today's agenda has me painting some Battle Dragons from Armorcast's Lance and Laser line and hopefully taking a big step forward on the Farseer.

Take care and be nice to each other for a day, you might like it.
