Finished! Aleph Dasyus

Another addition to my Nomads force. But you might call it a Dasyus from the Aleph faction. Well, I'm painting it red and calling her an intruder because they were sold out of intruders when I picked her up. Just wanted something to start playing with that could fill the slot for my intruder, I plan on having a lot of them anyway so the more the merrier :)

Currently I'm still packing away on the Mymera commission. I've also found a new podcast and ironic enough I started the four parter about Genghis Khan while painting an army of jetbikes. Throughout history and the imagined future, funny how things stay the same.

Check out Hardcore History if you have some time, I'm really enjoying it.

Stay tuned!

  1. I noticed you use inks alot as a shade i think?
Would you mind sharing what you do with them?

    1. Of course, it's nothing too special. Since the citadel washes went down hill I started looking into ink washes/glazes. My usual method is to create my blend, apply a thin ink wash (maybe two) and reapply the final highlights. In this models case, redoing the orange highlights and adding the final whites. To suspend the dry time, for a little more workability if you screw up, I dilute the ink with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and liquid extender.

    2. Thanks for the reply, model looks cool btw.
Out of the inks that you have tried whats your preference?
Glad im not the only one that thinks Gw washes suck, I see so many people using them and feel like theres sumin im missing.
