Finished! Blight Queen

The princess of pustulence herself, the Blight Queen. This project was a lot of fun, I love painting and always say that but lately I've been trying to add more edge and feeling to my models.

Thanks for staying tuned, I've been so caught up in work lately I haven't had as much time to blog. Which is the very activity that brings me work, one of them at least. Funny how that works.

Stay tuned! I have some classes to announce in the near future :)

Weapon of Hell

This is part of a much larger project and you have to start somewhere. So I'm focused on getting the sculpting out of the way. Which has been fun, my only problem is waiting for the putty to finally cure before adding the next layer. But on a near formless demonic stye, that can be used to your advantage.

Mista Snaaaaakes!

Another Orruk for my personal collection! Nicknamed Mista Snakes but actually the name came before the model during a paint jam with my buddy Jeff. Paint jams can be like long drives sometimes complete with the side effect of dumb jokes being especially funny and fully fleshed out. This model provided some interesting experiments, a chance to freehand texture on the hyde and a really saucy opportunity for some OSL.

The only drawback about all the negative space on this model is I had to leave some parts separate until later stages of painting. Not so bad usually but some of the seams need filling before painting..Anyway, he wouldn't be Mista Snakes if he was just a regular Orc, he needed snakes!

He came along swiftly, I had been planning this piece for a while in advance and the scheme was already laid down on the Brute I painted in the past.

What have I been listening to? Pseudogod

Cast of Bases

As I've said before, my personal project lately has been jumping into Infinity. More commonly the basing in Infinity represents a sci-fi urban setting or other similar themes, not so much wilderness, so I decided to do more than glue dirt to my bases. After spending some time building the bases for my first wave from plasticard a couple years ago, I had always thought I'd cast my own in the future. Our gaming group would also have something to fall back on. I put these together and with the casting abilities of Brother John to help me, I now have set of 10 bases at my disposal.

Showing them off is my second wave of Nomads. All prepped and now with bases, ready for painting. If I ever have time.

Yes, the keen eye will notice the Jaguar on the left, one base remains to be cast. Must have been switched after multiple copies ;)

I'll get back to the Trollbloods next time so, as always, stay tuned!

Tiny Corpses For Thee

Hey all, sorry for the delay in posting. The mymera project is fully complete and photographed, just waiting on my new computer to show up so I can doctor my mistakes out of the pictures ;)

In the mean time here's a preview of my next project. These were sculpted as basing elements for the skinner of men himself. More on that later.

I won't leave you hanging completely, here's a shot of the Eldar to come :)

Amidst the cluster of Jetbikes inside there was also a massive amount of snow dropped on us, basically white dirt ha. After shovelling twice in one day, I wanted to capture the moment, Cheers!
